Everyone of the RITEKD01 I've ever used has burned and played without issue. Not saying they're the best of discs, but they aren't as bad as they're made out to be.

I guess it all depends on what you intend to use the discs for. Anyone doing duplication work or has their own business making DVD's of people's home movies or weddings needs the most widely compatible discs possible.

But if all you are doing are writing discs for use on a computer or a DVD player that you know it will work on, then this is a pretty good deal.

These discs suck. I don't care if they were completely free, I would never suggest them to anybody.

You can get a 3-pack of MKM DL media (Verbatim) on clearance at Staples for $5.50. Far better deal, far better media.

Unless they have started using high-quality DYE in their discs, I would suggest that you stay away from the Memorex brand. Before I knew the difference in dye-types, I used anything cheap. This included Memorex. I have two-year-old Memorex CD-R's that are going bad! I put these in a CD binder, in storage and never touched them for two years. Now a lot of them are undreadable with C2 errors! These errors were not there, when I burned the discs two years ago! Luckily, nothing important was lost, just backups of some of my games which I still have the original cd.

Try Fuji TY media or Maxell (made in Japan). I have Fuji discs I burned at the same time as Memorex, and they are still good!

But will they continue to play might be the better question. I have a few Ritek discs that someone recorded some material on for me and they played fine for awhile but recently they've started to fail, some of my players that played them fine before now choke on them. Hopefully this won't be your experience, but you might want to be careful using them on items that are really important to you.
