    what software do i need to playback my digicam capture video file, its an AVI video file but it wont play on my realplayer or Windows media player

    Drop it into Gspot or AVIcodec and see what codec it needs. Is it from a still camera? May be a .mov or Quicktime file.

    Most digital camera (still cam) movie files are MJPEG.

    WMP will play it if the codec is present. If it won't play, load the software that came with the digital camera.
