I have DVDSanta 3.45 and I have three questions:
1. Is there any way to speed up the collection process? I tried opening it in safe mode but DVDSanta would not reduce in size and I could not see the add video option. My downloads typically take 4-5 hours to collect
2. If I had DVDSanta on two computers could I run the collection process on both computers and transfer the second one back to the computer with the DVD burner?
3. If had a two or three small movies could I put them on one DVD+R? I tried this and the second movie was lost. There was no menu to show two movies and no way to advance it to the next movie.
Unrelated question:
The light colored (sunshine-fog-smoke) frames in my movies show like a patchwork quilt. What am I doing wrong? Cheap DVD reader?
I get most of my movies from Limewire. My son suggestes bittorrance and Pirates Cove, but that way way to slow for me, and I need to save all my bandwidth for myself for 6i7 hours a day. Where is the best place to download movies?

I'll try to answersome of your questions, appologies, I don't undestand some of them.
1. I don't understand what you mean with collect. Maybe you mean complete? I think DVDSanta is not downloading programm.
2. Well, I don'n understand the question. What means collect?
3. I have done this with great success several times. I think my success is due to the fact that I didn't use DVDSanta, but different programms, each one dedicated to a separate step in the process of creating DVD.

1. Most important: having as a source already very compressed video which is typical for 4-5 hours download. You cannot expect to increase the video quality and for sure you must expect to lose a lot of quality with DVDSanta.
2. Not sufficient bitrate for mentioned scenes, unfortunately you can not controll the bitrate usage with DVDSanta.

By collecting I mean the process the comes between sliding the download into DVDSanta and burning it to DVD. It's a collection process that creates a file called TS.
I have Alcohol 120% but haven't tried it yet. DVDSanta just semed the easiest, and read good things about it on this forum.
What program do you recommend?

It is an encoding and authoring process (I don't know where the term 'collection' comes from). There are a couple of things you can do to try to speed things up - making sure your source and target files are on different physical disks is a good start - however in your case you only have 1 HDD, you have only just enough memory to run XP, and nothing else, and you have an old CPU. 4-5 hours is about what you should expect.
If you wan't something faster, try VSO DivxtoDVD (free version), or upgrade your computer.Read my blog here.

Yes, it is an old computer, 256 mg. RAM, 400 WT powwr supply, 1 HD. But I have another one waiting for parts form my lazy wholesaler. It will fly - new motherboard - new processor
I just made a movie and it has sound and no picture.
Earlier I made a 2 -DVD movie from parts 1 and 2 downloaded, and the scond haf was in french.
This has not been my night for movies.
