  1. I am new at dual layer burning so please forgive me with these newbie questions .

Since DVD-Maestro creates an img file, Usually I backup the img file with two DLT tapes, because I can handle the layer break by myself.

Now I wanna burn the IMG dual-layer files with two recordable DVD±R/Ws, It means to burn the first layer on one disk, and the second layer on another one.

    Any idea?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Use DVDFab to split the disk to 2 DVDRs. You can use Daemon Tools or DVD Shrink to output the DVD to file mode first if DVDFab cant handle ISOs

I think IFOEdit can also split to 2 disks.

What do you want to do with the disks ?

The solutions you have been given will produce 2 playable disks, however these will not have the same structure as your original image, and cannot easily be reconstituted back into the original form. If you need to split the disk for watching, I would suggest actually designing the disks with this in mind and produce two single layer images.

If you need to transport the disk as effectively two layers, I would try to output the DLT images to the HDD (if possible), then burn each image to DVD/RW as data.
