Since I couldn't make a decision on brand, I thought I'd try here for some opinions. I'd like to get an S-Video/RCA Audio combo cable, so here are the choices I wound up with:
Acoustic Research
Belkin
Comprehensive
Monster
The prices are all in the same range. Quality is the biggest concern I have. Any other suggestions are definitely appreciated.
Thanks!

I'd go with the acoustic research for two reasons:
1) I own a set and love'em.
2) the others are 3 and 4 feet while AR is a 6 foot length. -
I ditto ROF's reply. All seem about the same quality. Don't worry about the THX certification, monster simply paid to have their cables certified. AR makes a great line of affordable good quality interconnects. I wish I had a 6' s-video, my 3' is barely long enough. If I have to move something I have to reconnect it blindly, which isn't easy.

I have been very impressed with the quality of cables sold by Beyond Computers, http://stores.ebay.com/Beyond-Computers_W0QQssPageNameZstrkQ3amefsQ3amesstQQtZkm
They are built as solidly as Monster Cables but are significantly less expensive.
You will think the prices are too good to be true but my experience has been excellent.
I personally use their component cables. I had been having signal dropouts with my Monster cable and have not had a single one with these.
Highly recommended! -
All the cables I own (except for 1 monster cable audio connect) are all Acoustic Research. Price is better and I have yet to be disappointed in quality. That's my vote.

Newegg has 6' generic cables for $4.99:

If money is no object I would go AR. -
Cable Pro makes some outstanding cables, but they are quite expensive.
They do have a 1-year money-back guarantee however.

After having used Monster, Radio Shack, and various other brands, Cable Pro is easily the winner.
If you want some good, but more reasonably-priced cables, try http://www.signalcable.com/ -
signalcable.com: "At a $29 starting price, it is simply a No-Brainer!"
LOL. I thought the same thing. But I think I came to the opposite conclusion. -

Check out buyer feedback on the page- I agree wholeheartedly. -
10 meters of Vivanco Prowire, 2 Nakamichi gold S-Video plugs and 10 minutes with a soldering iron.
Total cost, a lot less than any made up cable and you can have whatever length you want. -
Cable quality is more important as length increases (frequency response).
Connector quality is important for frequent connects-disconnects and noise from pin corrosion.Recommends: Kiva.org - Loans that change lives.

I like the Acoustic Research cables I have. Monster cables are over priced. This place had good prices but I haven't shopped for cables in a while so there might be better now.

I went with the Pro series mainly because I couldn't bring myself to spend more than that on cables but I have no complaints with them. -
Thanks for all the replies so far. Acoustic Research users...are the master series what you went with or is that overkill?
