I'd need to create some short, compact, compressed clips for a web site, that visitors can download.
Technology has changed a lot since I last looked at doing this several years ago. What's a good way to accomplish this nowadays and what software would I need to sqeeze out the best quality for a small frame size in a widely used format such as *.mov or *.mpg?
Thanks and appreciation.

Personally I'd use WMV, Windows Movie Maker and the High Quality Video (small) template. If in doubt, Google it.
