  1. hello people

my problem is. i performed a live show and i hired someone to record a dvd, every thing was done smoothly, and the disc was done and given to me, but when i copied the dvd disc to promote my band, the disc wasnt having audio. and by that time the orignal dvd, unfortunately i lost that one(while i was moving to a different place). when i go through the menu
it plays everything but without audio.the intersting part is that, when i play individual files through power dvd, by going inside videoTS folder by dragging it and dropping the file, if i change the audio mode to 5.1, i hear the sound. but not in stereo mode, please if any one could help me out hoe to restore the audio in my dvd file , i will be overwhelmed. this place is the only hope. i could have gone to the guy who made my dvd but he charges way too much for these jobs , i m helpless right now.

please tell me how to proceed

Try selecting the next audio stream on your remote control for your dvd player. Sometimes that works.

Do you know what format is audio is in; AC3, LCPM etc..

the format which should have been present are
    lpcm stereo - missing
dolby 5.1 - this is present

if i play the dvd from menu it doesnt detects any audio streams, but audio is present ,only 5.1, lpcm is missing, is there any way to restore the missing pcm audio

    hopo2hopo,

Open one of the VOB files in VirtualDubMod and if there is more than 1 audio track then it will display all the tracks. Choose a track and let it load then select 'Preview Input' to hear it. Do the same for the other track.

If they sound right then there is hope.

    Regards,

    Chas
