Transfer DVD MOVIE to DVD-R?

I got a mactheripper installed on my laptop. I compress a DVD Movie to 3.97 and saved on the desktop. Now i tried to put a Blank DVD-R mounted to the desktpop. I than Drag the Compress Movie to the Blank DVD-R and Burned it. I than tried to play it on my Pioneer DVD Player and a SOny DVD player but did nto work., What step am i forgetting. PLease Help.

You need to make sure that the DVD isn't in HFS+ format (which you get by dragging files onto a mounted disc) but rather that itin UDF. To do this for free, get a copy of DVD Imager and use Diskutility to burn a copy of the image.
