    While I am very thankful for those of you who have gone before me and may have asked the same question as I will ask now, I have tried searching through the posts but ended up with most leads leading to audio fading：（

    I am looking for software to help me create a video fade in and out in a program. I am playing now with Ulead 8 and also vcdeasy. I am not a fresh newbie but still am at the lower end of the learning curve...definitely at the low end of the budget. Any suggestions? The big purpose...I am converting VCR's to SVCD and DVD, and also creating home movies to send home from China

    Most editing software has this type of feature - it might be called a fade, or a cross fade, or a dissolve. I would be surprised if Video 8 can't do it. Just read the help files and/or manual.
