Been using Tiny Personal 2.0.15 for ages. The problem is that in order to access the other pc (and vice versa) on the network the firewall needs to be off - same for internet connection on the client pc, which is obviously not a good idea.
Is there a way to configure this firewall to allow traffic between the network pcs? If not does anyone have a recommendation for a free fw that can be set up this way (not Zone Alarm though as I occasionally download yEnc files and it has issues).
    Thanks.

With that older version, isn't Tiny and Kerio pretty much the same thing? I use Kerio 2.1.5 on all 4 of my boxes and have never had a local network issue - does Tiny have a screen like this:

If so, check your settings - make sure the Trusted Address Group has your local subnet in it.

How is you network setup? a switch? a router?

I used to have a "peer to peer" wireless system that used a USB "hub" at my PC and "shared" my internet connection after Kerio. I could not make this system work under Tiny... Kerio had a checkbox called "Gateway" that did the trick.

Side note: This wireless (HomeRF) system worked great for my Pent. laptop for surfing the net... But my new PC is a hypertreading processor and the USB hub is not compatable

Side note #2: just my two cents: Stick with the older versions of kerio 2.??? . Kerio completely change their engine in the newer verions.

It does indeed have that tab, thanks. I still couldn't get it to work though!
I'm just using a crossover cable between the 2 pcs.
I've set up Proksi for the internet connection at the moment as it doesn't involve switching off the firewall. As for accessing the host pc from the client - I'll have to disable the fw for now.
    Thanks for the replies.

Perhaps the ports aren't open ? I think port 139 needs to be open to connect to another XP box.
