Which comes first - nextgen dvd war winner or cheap dl media

So which happens first? Will a winner between hd-dvd and bluray be decided or will dual layer discs finally drop to near single layer prices?

I'm sure dl media will continue to drop long before a next gen winner is declared. There's still too much backstabbing between the two to make a clear winner certain.

Depends on which way the market is headed.

Will manufacturers invest heavily in dual layer to produce media in high volumes to render lower prices or will they invest heavily in the next generation format.
