  1. i recently bought the PMP 140 player, and dled some movies to play on it.. but, most of the movies i dled wont play in the unit. this unit plays fles with extensons of : mp3,wma,wav,asf,avi,bmp and jpeg. is there a program or a tutorial that can show me how to reencode the movies i dled to suit these settings?

    i know i'm asking for much, but i also have some animes that i would love to watch on this unit. most of my animes are in mkv,ogm.

    Best bet would probably be one of the mencoder GUI's out there for converting to pocket players, etc.

    mencoder supports XviD and libavcodec MPEG4 for video and lame for mp3. It also accepts ogm's and mkv's as input.

  3. can mencoder change the size of the video? the maximum resolution it supports is 640x480? because, once i change mkv or ogm to avi, its a possibility that i'm gonna have to change the fps/bit rate/ or something else in the avi.

    Sure it can crop and resize. Since according to the above it supports upto 29fps you shouldn't need to be changing framerates unless you have say a 120fps source.
