DVD Shrink Error

I'm taking some 8mms and trying to back them up to DVD. I just made a dvd with GFD and the VIDEO_TS folder was 7GB. I was then going to use DVD Shrink to shrink it down to 4.3GB so it will fit on a DVD+R. I'm not concerned about the quality, I mean c'mon these are 8mms. Anyway I put it into shrink and it got 73% of the way done and then said "program exception, error" and closed. I tried again and got 51% of the way through and the same error occured. Any ideas on how to fix this or an alternative app I could use to shrink my dvd down?

DVD2One or Shrinkto5 might be able to assist. Either that or try a different authoring software before using DVDShrink.
