HELLO EVERYONE IM NEW HERE I REALLY NEED SOME HELP I TRY DECODING A MOVIE AVI FORMAT WITH TMPGEnc TO MAKE A SVCD
SO I CAN PLAY IT ON MY HOME DVD PLAYER I USED THE TEMPLE THAT COME WITH TMPGEnc THE SuperVideoCD (NTSC).mcf IT TAKE ME A LONG TIME LIKE OVER 8hr THEN WHEN IT WAS DONE THE SOUND WAS NOT THERE AND THE MOVIES SIZE AFTER WAS LIKE 1.47 GIG FROM A 703 MB FILE

Well, you could actually just read through the section on how to convert from DivX to SVCD (I'm guesing your 703meg avi is a DivX movie)....but an SVCD encode is going to be larger than the DivX source. Depending on the bitrate you choose you will end up with 2 to 3 CDs for a movie. You have to either split the movie into 2 with VirtualDub before you start the encode, or you can use the Source Frame Range filter in TMPGEnc to choose each part of the film for encoding.
