ok, i use gspot to detect the framerate of the xvid/divx video, then use tmpgenc to encode into .m2v.
i'm having problems with every xvid that has a framerate of 23.976 fps. i use tmpgenc to convert, using "23.976 fps (internally 29.97 fps)", and "3:2 pulldown when playback".
the outputted m2v. has a slight "lag" every 5 seconds or so.
another method, i used tmpgenc to convert using "23.976 fps". and "non-interlace".
then i use dgpulldown to convert the fps from 23.976 to 29.97.
the outputted m2v still has a slight lag every 5 seconds or so.
any xvid/divx that has a detected framerate of 29.97 turns out fine when converted with tmpgenc at 29.97 fps, non-interlace.
is there anyway to convert 23.976 fps xvids to .m2v without that lag?

What happens if you use 23.976 (not with internal 29.97) and check "do not frame rate conversion" and do NOT check "3:2 pulldown." Then insert the pulldown flag after it is encoded. (DVD-Lab will do this, pulldown.exe and others as well)
