  1. A friend of mine has a Panasonic DVD-S35 DVD player. Someone put a region 2 dvd in it by mistake and now it won't play any region 1 dvds. Is there a solution to this, by perhaps resetting it or something?

    Thanks

It's possible that putting in the region 2 DVD caused the player to effect the last of the 5 region changes programmed, and the player got locked to the last region set (i.e., Region 2 in your case). You can try DVD Region+CSS Free which costs about $40. You can try and hack the firmware in the drive - a dangerous procedure - for which you can look up http://www.rpc1.org.

    Thanks.

Thanks for the links! It appears that the firmware link you gave me is only for DVD drives. This is a standalone DVD Player (for your tv) - do you have a similar site for that? I seem to remember a way to enable different regions on dvd players by entering a string of commands, ie holding menu while entering 414, is there anything like that for this model?
