    hi there, i copy a dvd to a blank dvd yesterday, then when i try playing the burned blank dvd in my dvd player, through out the movie it would freeze up for a few seconds then play, and so forth. Is there anyway i could fix this?

    does the burnd dvd work on your computer?
    it could be bad media.

    yea it works, just not in the player, it skips sometimes in the player. could be a protaction on the player or something.

  6. If the disk doesn't play properly on your PC or DVD player then the disks you are using are probably not fully compatible with your burner.

    If the disk plays OK on your PC but not on your DVD then the disks are probably not compatible with your DVD player.

    Finding DVD blanks that burn and play well can be quite hard. I've had lots of bad luck with Bulkpaq, RiDisk and others.

    One massively handy tip that someone gave me - if the DVD starts to break up and freeze at the end of the movie it is because the edge of the disk isn't machined well. I was told only to record to say 4200 MB so as to keep the recording away from the edge of the disk. BINGO! All my problems went away. Now I set DVDShrink to 4200 as standard.
