I have found that running my TV cable through a VCR and then to my TV tuner card results in a far superior picture then simply attaching the cable directly to my card. I was wondering if there is a VCR that is known to have a better quality TV tuner than other brands or models?? I'd like to hook up my cable to a VCR with the best tuner to optimize the signal going into my Hauppauge TV tuner card. Thanks!

Maybe the VCR has a signal amplifier in it. You can buy signal amplifiers quite cheaply, negating the requirement for a VCR specifically for the purpose of boosting the signal.
I'm afraid I can't offer a suggestion for a good VCR - try going down to the local AV store and seeing for yourself. These places often have testing rooms for such things.
