Hi,

Having a problem and im coming to the forum as a last resort. I am converting NTSC DVDs to PAL as my TV set will only play PAL. NTSC comes out in B/W.

I have been using DVDSanta and this is a great program but suddenly this has stopped working properly. The issue seems to be that after approximately 58 secs the sound will stop. This has been annoying me so much that I have actually rebuilt my PC!! The same issue exists...

I have the latest Nero 6 full package installed on my PC (which I believe is the problem) I have installed Xvid, Divx codecs as per the DVDsanta site. Im using DX 9c, XP Sp2, Mediaplayer 9.

Please could someone offer some good adivce on how to pin point the exact problem. Is it a sound problem? Is it a sound card driver issue? After having rebuilt my PC the only thing I believe it could be is a problem with the latest Nero. I ran Gspot and noticed that it uses Neros codecs to run the video.

The method I have been using to get the DVD to my harddisk is either with DVD Decrypter or DVD Shrink. The sound file is Dolby Sorround (AC3)

I dont want to use another program to convert the movie as they all are crap or they are good and take 5 hours to do the job. DVDSanta take about as long as the movie is and also keeps the sound track intact, other programs give me crappy 2.1 sound

If you need any more info I can provide it.
