victor, I personally have used an assortment of progs. I used Dvd Fab Platinum...easy, only had a couple of times when the copy would not play on the stand alone...I actually have a 30 trial still on the system, yet I believe (based on 200 back-ups with just Intervideo Copy 3 Platinum) that Intervideo's quality is higher up than Dvd Fab Platinum. I use for the larger movies with 60% or more compression Dvd Rebuilder Pro RC 4.1.2 with CCE Basic encoder. The nxt step is Intervideo Copy 3 (which allows copy-on-the-fly...p.s. as long as movie doesn't require compression) fast and the qulaity is excellent! Then there is the always trusty CloneDvd 2. Good quality and easy! Intervideo does have at times some glitches with the re-authoring portion, yet it only accured with me on two movies, otherwise I perfect. The image on my 16X9 55 inch HDTV widescreen looks very impressive and I always use TY's and verbs as the media of choice (burning slow @ 4x or slower) TY's and Verbs can be read on my Denon 2200, since my nero burning rom is book-set! Denon is very picky, yet with these two media brands...no problem. Personally I feel Intervideo is a better product, and it does a good job of joining episodic shows, or combining two...even three movies! Intervideo offers a 21 day trial of their product at www.intervideo.com and I also have ANYDVD in the background. Happy burning and learning!
hope this helps!
