Well, here I go again. I bought a used Studio 1 Proc Amp (single proc amp version) on ebay. I received it today and the seller sent it with an ac adapter that obviously isn't the original. It's for an AT&T telephone answering machine and says so right on the unit.
The specs for the Signvideo single proc amp (basically the same unit) says its wall adapter outputs 6-9volts DC and 500 mA. I'm not sure about the 6-9 volts means. Does that mean that anything from 6 to 9 volts DC will power the unit?
The AT&T answering machine wall adapter outputs 9v DC and 780 mA. Having an adapter that is rated for more mA's then is required should not harm the proc amp, correct?
I've sent a message to the seller asking about this, but will probably get the standard "it's fine" response.
[rant]Doesn't anyone ever keep track of the original ac adapter anymore?!?!?!?![/rant]
Thanks in advance.

Well, according to SignVideo (I called them), it is 9v DC and anything from 500mA to 1000 mA will work. LS, thanks again.

hey, were you the winner of the proc amp just recently on ebay from a seller in hawaii? if so, good win! it went higher than i wanted to go, so i ended up with a bvp-4+ instead.

Nope...that a dual proc amp and did indeed go quite high. mine's just a single, but was more reasonably priced.
