Head over to Staples as quick as you can. They have 30 packs of Fuji for $9.94. The ones I got are TY02. Comes to about 33 cents a disk. Sale ends today (Saturday).

Make sure the package says MADE IN JAPAN ... not all do. It will be near the UPC code.

The packages that say MADE IN JAPAN are the A+ Taiyo Yuden DVD Discs be it -R or +R

at my office depot they have little stickers near the barcode, and on the stickers it says "made in taiwan", but under the sticker, on the label near the upc it says "made in japan".. there seems to be something fishy going on here.

Depends. I know the 5 pack of 8x DVD-Rs in jewel cases that say "Made in Japan" are TYG02. As for the spindles, who knows. Those things are made in like Malaysia or someplace.

  12. i bought a 30 pack of the JVC from BIG LOTS for 12.99.

And you know what i got out of them? 30 freakin' coasters. I wasted 2 days doing back ups with them, then i went to play them and every single back up made on the JVC did not load right. They skipped, froze and all kinds of garbage.

    STAY AWAY FROM JVC DVDS.
