  1. i have ogm videos with dual audio and subtitle. i only want one audio and no subtitles. i also want it in mpeg so i could play it on any computer without installing new codecs.

i tried virtualdubmod, disabled the subtitle and the other audio then saved it as an avi, but this avi has no sound. while it was processing, it say 0 audio data. and after it is done, it has no sound when i play it.

i then used TMPGEnc to convert my avi to mpeg1. i used the audio from the original ogm file, but the the audio is messed up, but the video is fine.

    any help?

*i have 52 ogm videos (a total of 11.6 GB) i would like to burn them on a dvd just as files, not as a dvd movie. it would take me atleast 3 dvd5. i was trying to get it down to 2 dvd5. i though that if i removed the other audio and the subtitle that the size would go down. but i still want the same video quality. my ps2 could play mpeg files on a cd/dvd.

You have to either demux the audio or save the audio as wav. You can do that from the streams list.

i can't save it as wav cause it says that it must be demuxed because its an ogg.

i then demux it, and then i get this ogg. i use TMPGEnc with the video and the demuxed ogg, still the sound is messed up.

You may need the ogg vorbis codec. When i do what you are trying to do I open the ogg file in goldwave and save it to a wav file. Then i convert it to mp2 using besweet.

download goldwave (fully functional trial available) and use that to convert the ogg file to wav.

Decode audio and copy video to a new avi:
    mencoder.exe -ovc copy -oac PCM -aid 0/1 input.ogm -o output.avi
    Simply decode audio:
mplayer.exe -ao PCM:file=audio -vo null -vc dummy -aid 0/1 input.ogm

  8. when i used my ogm video as the video and the audio source for TMPGEnc, the video is fine, but the audio is messed up.

it used to be no audio, now its messed up audio. there's this very loud and weird noise.

i attached a sample of the video. you could hear the noise. this part should have no sound.

the first part (black screen with white writings) should have no sound.

    Ep_01.mpg

*need help with uploading a file. thank you

Tmpgenc has problems converting audio sometimes. Tmpgenc works best when using a wav file.
