    Hi,

I try to help out when I can. Also titles like "need help" are a quick way to not get answered. More detailed titles will invite more responses

The reason for this is that the question has probably been asked and answered many times before. When people see these type of questions, the usual response is, "Jeez, not another one!" - thus the question is basically ignored.

Also, if the person had attempted to make even a cursory search of the archived posts, or even the glossary on the left side of this page, he could have probably answered most of his question.

Yeah, I've stopped answering ones that are just rehashes of questions that have been asked so many times before. It's not at all difficult to make use of [SEARCH] at the top of the screen. So, even for newbies, I don't see why they can't find their solutions without resorting to needless additional posts.

Now, if it's a twist or a deeper question, or something like that, I'm still happy to answer...

I guess the one question I have is: where can I go to find the list of unanswered queries?

I generally help out everywhere I can, and I too have just gotten back from 2 wonderful weeks in Puerto Rico!

Anyway, if someone could point me in the right direction, I'll get cracking.

    Thanks guys!

    Cheers!

see noobs...people here are extremely nice and helpful. u just need to ask smart.

For all the new members here, in case u haven't noticed...u can search the entire forums by keywords.

I pinpointed this, because I'm sure some didnt notice it. at least there's a possibility :P

Baldrick, maybe u should add a sticky that search engines are up and ready. if its already there, then sorry to suggest it..lol

    regards,

Little Known fact: Baldrick does indeed never sleep, but must eat twice his own body weight a day to survive. Think takes almost as much time as sleeping because he has a very small mouth.

  12. Just to add to the observation...it would be nice to have those asking to have the courtesy to post back and let the helpers know if the solution was found or a simple thank you.
I have checked and have four recent posts that I and sometimes others have tried to help only to never hear from the thread starter again. (one actually has been a member since 2000, Hello! )
If I cant return to thank those willing to help I dont deserve an answer next time. Admitted we may forget some of our posts, rarely..

Also by some of the questions asked I'm sure that a search use would be as complicated as launching the space shuttle.

VERVE, with my limited knowledge and time I will try to stop in at the newbie forum more often.

    Regards,
    NL

  13. I try to assist those who's posts remain unanswered after 3 days but lately I have been busy elsewhere. Also being "old school", some of the applications and equipment being asked about are not familiar to me
