Maybe I'm OT. If so I apologize, but i've not found a forum for backup dvd to hd.
My question: is it possible in any way to backup an original DVD (commercial) to HDD of a Dvd-rec?
Or it's necessary first backup DVD to a DVD-r o -RW (+ o -) with a PC and after backup from DVDr or RW to HDD?
I've a dvd rec sony rdr-hx710
Thanks
Mimmo

Can you hook up your PC to your recorder via fire wire or USB2? Otherwise I guess you will have to rip to a DVD r first. I am not too familiar with HD recorders.
No DVD can withstand the power of DVDShrink along with AnyDVD! -
No Firewire neither USB, only Dv-in, but anyway my will was to not use PC, but to backup easily with only dvd-rec from dvd to hdd.
Thanks[/quote]
