I have a Sony DCR DVD 301 handy cam what i want to do is put a couple mini dvd discs that the 301 uses on to 1 dvd that is playable in set tops dvd players.
What I have done so far was copied the .vro files on my HD,
Used TMPEGnc to author the videos, and create a dvd from it.
Everything seems to work fine except that there is no sound after my first cut, also tmpegnc only displays the movie legenths up until the first cuts so instead of showing 18 min, it only shows 2 min (corresponding to where i cut it)

Is there a way to get my sound for the rest of my clips?

Edit: I think I may have found a way using the software that came with the camera, I prolly would have used this sooner if it wasn't so painstaking to use... only time will tell if this works.

Edit#2: Well it seems everything is fine but when I go to burn it with Image mixer 1.5, it gives me an error, only come to find out that the software hasn't been updated in almost a year and my dvd recorder isn't compatable. (Yes i tried to burn the image the program created with nero, but that gave me an error too)
The image folder contains 2 .img files and 1 .pim file. If you know how to burn these please help, trying to get this done for mothersday...

Ok Got it to work, what I did was used image mixer to extract the video from the discs, this outputs them to mpeg, and from there it was a matter of just using tmpegnc to author them, and voila a new dvd

Well I just used image mixer, and it ripped the video straight to mpeg to the folder I had selected in the options. Once you have the raw mpegs, you're basically home free and can do what you wish with the video.
