Anyone have any experience with www.securemart.com? I'm looking at buying an Antec case and they are about $30 cheaper than newegg for the one I want at the moment. I have no idea of their reputation though.

whoas! the rating and reviews are not very good. it would be taking a chance on ordering from them. don't take this the wrong way but the ole saying goes,"you pay for what you get". i'd pay the extra $30.00 to newegg.com because at least you know the customer service is great with no hassles if you have to return a defective item.
i once had a defective floppy drive that was DOA. they told me to just dump it and they credited me. the shipping cost to hawaii wasn't worth it for newegg or myself. i just received a check from newegg for a mobo that was purchased back in January. the mobo never worked correctly from the beginning but newegg took it back and i got my money refunded because they no longer stocked the item. -
Yeah I had a feeling that might be the case. I was going to order it yesterday when Newegg also had the rebate on it. I had so much to do that I forgot. I got online at 5:30 AM this morning and no more rebate. Oh well, I really like that case too. I'm building a semi-budget PC and it would work perfectly.
Anyone use this case before?

It actually fit but then I couldn't install the primary ide cable. Then I went to the Antec website and found out there was a detachable 4-pin that I could remove so that the primary ide controller could be used. It would have been helpful if Antec had put this notation in their manual for the Antec SLK2650-BQE case.
If you can wait COMPUSA or CIRCUIT CITY may have that Antec case on sale again. I think the rebates were because Antec has the new TRUE II power supply models slowly hitting the stores and online retailers. I was able to pickup a few weeks back a Antec SLK2650-BQE case with a $30.00 mail in rebate from COMPUSA. If you need case fans I would recommend the 6 pack of COOLER MASTER fans that NEWEGG.COM has for $9.99. I changed all my case fans and the temps have lowered better than the Antec case fans I had. -
Thanks for that I'll keep a look out for it. I found the case again on Newegg with the discount and ordered it.

I'm having a hell of a time picking out a budget Proc and Mobo though. This is what I'm looking at so far.

If you're getting a INTEL 848 why not get the ASUS Version of that.

I'd get the INTEL 2.26 processor.

I actually wanted to get that processor and another ASUS mobo but Newegg is out of stock on the mobo. I had to buy a new car so I have to cut back on computer stuff for myself! -
I was originally looking at that Proc but it's twice the price as the Celeron D. This is for my girlfriend, not me, and I don't think she'll be using it for anything that would require the boost. I'll take a look at the asus board.
