  1. I got a burned dvd from a friend but when I play it on 2 dvd players and my computer the sound volume is low even with maximum volume control.

What is the easiest way to copy this dvd and increase the volume before burning it?

    Thank you,

    Joey

You can't easily change the volume. The only way to do this is

    1. Demux video and audio to elementary streams
    2. Demux multi-channel audio to 6 mono wav files
    3. Increase the volume in each mono wav file
    4. Re-encode the 6 mono channels back to 5.1 AC3
    5. Re-author the disk to get it all back together again.

Was the original this low ?
How did you copy it ?
