Any person who owns a "walkman type" cd/mp3 player and is into details, please help me. I am looking for a portable cd/mp3 player that will do the following:
1) must be able to play seamlessly between mp3 tracks. I record 10 hour segment of audio from the internet and split into 10 minute segments (for convenience of using the "next button" on the cd player). Therefore the track change will usually occur in the middle of a song. I want the player to advance to the next track without any discontinuity. (some players can do this, but don't meet the following requirements.)
2) should be able to fast forward or rewind within an mp3 track. Should be able to fast forward or rewind a 10 minute track in less than a minute.
3) should have good anti-shock protection in both mp3 and cd mode. Some players, although having anti-shock protection, do a very poor job. Other players are virtually immune to continued shock.
4) Should be able to play a clean and fresh mp3 disk without any chirps or other audio artifacts.
Any suggestions and input on this topic is greatly appreciated. I use these 10 hour mp3 disks in the car and also to have background music at night without having the computer turned on
