just bought a new Toshiba SD-750 dvd player for $50 at Costco and so far it has played DVD-R and bitsetted DVD+RW as well as mp3 CDs. It appears to play everything except for DVD+RWs with mp3s on them. This disappointing but a minor nuisance compared to the big problem. While playing Cold Mountain there is very noticeable flickering through the RCA output. (This occured on two separate TVs). This does not occur when using the S-Video output. Does this mean the player is defective?
Thanks in advance,
-Jonathan.

Most players do not support mp3 from DVD playback.
Is the RCA out a single yellow connector or the RGB connectors?Google is your Friend -
