    My philips won't play any svcd, but vcd is OK. My region is 2. What I have to do? Thank you

    a quick look at the dvdplayerlist here ( http://www.vcdhelp.com/dvdlist/dvdplayers.html ) shows that your player is reported not to play SVCD but do play VCD.

    so there is probibly nothing to do.
