  1. Is there a program that will brighten frames??
    I have vegas 4.0, nero movie maker, mpeg2vcr and virtual dub, but I dont think there is an option.

    If you mean brighten the video, at least Virtualdub does that in 'Filters', 'HSV adjust' and quite a few more filters, depending on which you have installed.

    Point to remember.

    Proper video levels will look dark on a computer monitor. If you change the file to look good on the computer it will be too bright for a DVD to TV.

    Make two files optimized for TV and computer.

    Or, use a file viewer like PowerDVD or WinDVD which have brightness controls.
