  1. I have had no problems with my rjtech 1500II until today. It started to fast roll (flicker down?) the screen in black and white and you can make out the load picture still... barely. I have tried to research this and came to the conclusion it must be the new firmware (orange screen). I proceeded to download the original firmware (blue) and it loaded fine but still rolls. Next thought was it must be the rca video out so I switched it to s-video and it still rolls. Should I open this p.o.s. up and look for something broken? Call up Rj tech or is their support a dead-end (had player for 9 months I guess).

Any help would be much appreciated and thanks in advance.

Sounds like it is in PAL output mode but you have a NTSC TV.

Have you searched the menu on it to make sure it is set up for NTSC use etc.?

I don't have this DVD player but I have another DVD player that is multi-region and it will do what you are saying when it is set to PAL output and I have it connected to my NTSC TV.

    Just a thought.

I have heard that the RJ TECH models do really well (quality wise) when it comes to DivX and Xvid playback BUT I have seen many many people complain about what a POS they are in terms of breaking down usually soon after purchase.

I guess what I suggested was in fact the problem.

So I am glad you got it working again
