Ive used FFmpegX and Missing Mpeg Tools neither seem to be able to mux the files properly. To me it seems that the video regularly skips 1 frame about every one or two seconds but VLC doesnt report anything unusual. The original rips from MactheRipper dont exhibit this problem. If I play the m2v in vlc its perfectly smooth.

Basically all I do is this:
    1. open mactheripper choose the main feature only, demux streams, and select only the video and either the DD or DTS stream.
    2. open FFmpegX click tools, select the media files, set mux as to DVD, and click mux

Is there something I'm doing wrong?

edit: I just tried the osx beta of mplayer and it plays perfectly smooth now this would be a great solution but I need S/PDIF output through my Sonica Theater to my receiver. If anyone knows a fix for this please share so I can watch all of my DVD's stored on my server without thiis anoying jumpiness.

ok, your post is confusing, but if I understand correctly
you are trying to MUX using ffmpegx on files that
are stored on a NETWORKED server, and not locally?

    Why?

The only application I have played with that could mux
files PROPERLY over a networked environment is
the new Compressor 2, but even then it is tedious, and
    prone to glitches.

Muxing I've found it best done LOCALLY on the machine
WHERE the files themselves reside, not trying to
do such processor intense work across a NETWORK.

No, I do the muxing locally the files are just stored on my server and transfered over my gigabit ethernet connection when needed since my laptop only has a 100GB drive while my server has a 200GB and a 40GB. All the movies ive ripped exhibit this problem (at least 20). Also, VLC doesnt seem to have right time code... Spiderman 2 is not 33 mins long as VLC says when the credits start rolling.
