Is there a way to crop without reencoding? Please don't suggest encoding from the source again, because I can't - because I do not have the source. I do not want to lose quality by re encoding, but I must crop. Is there any way to do this?

It would help if we knew what your source files are: AVIs (what type), MPEGs (what type), RM, MOV, WMV etc.
There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.

    Carpe diem.

If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room.

    No. No way.

    But ...

... you can crop for playback on a PC by using an AVISynth script and drag n drop that onto your Windows Media Player icon, but there's no way to permanently crop a file such that the file can be played on it's own without re-encoding.
    If in doubt, Google it.
