  1. hey all

i use dvc150 to capture live feeds from my tv to my computer. its a great piece of hardware, except the only thing bad about it is that the video files that it captures - the sound on it isn't as loud as it should be. do you guys know any programs that will amplify or increase the sound of a video (mpg/avi) file?

i am able to extact the audio from the video, then increase the volume of the extracted audio file, and encode it back over the video, but thats alot of work, and hard to get it to sync right. i was wondering if there is a program that will do something similar to that for me.

    thx for your help

Play it in Media Player Classic, right click on the video pane, go to filters > MatrixMixer and there increase volume and/or gain.

    Thanks.

Actually, sync should not be a problem as changing volume does not affect length (unless you are doing something wrong). Virtualdubmod allows you to alter the volume while not re-encoding the video.
