    OK I got a .avi file downloaded which states to be a DivX consisting of 600+MB, how fo I put that into a VCD or XVCD or anything on CD to play it on my DVDplayer. (Samsung DVD V1000) ?? Can I get a hand here ??

    first you have to convert the file to mpg. read the convert section on the left side of this page using tmpge.

    ok after I do that the files is going to be very big to fit on a single CD-R right?? I supposse I should use TMmpeenc also to cut it in pieces but how to know where to do so...is it written somewhere?

    Ok great thnx...now could someone help me out on getting the most of a format convertion??
    Wich formats I have to try next, after I get a .avi file encoded to .mpg using Nero's own encoder to work on my DVD?
