  1. I've tried everything I know of and can't get "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II" to rip to the hard drive. Shrink, DVDecryptor, DVDfab, etc. All of them stop around half way and lock up. Can't get it on the hard drive to try and use VOBblanker. I've not used this last program so I'd be lost even if I could get the movie onto the hard drive to use it with. Would anyone have a suggestion as to how I might do this?

Does the dvd play fine of your PC (particularly the part you cant rip)?

Just to rule out the possibility of a scratched/damaged disc.

  4. It appears the disk may be bad. Plays ok on the player but not on the pc. Might just have to get another one for my grandson. Thanks to the both of you for your replies.

The main reason for this is that PC dvd drives are more sensative to errors than standalone dvd players. A PC does a bit for bit reading while standalones would generally ignore errors.

Its the main reason why I advise people to play their faulty dvds on their PCs rather than on a standalone dvd player.

    Thanks.

    Waheed.
