  3. You can use TMPGEnc Plus and go into settings check clip frame, then double click clip frame and use the arrows to move the Logo off screern.

    Hope this helps.

That'll also eliminate about half of the picture. Since in their case, the bug is on the top of the screen, people's heads will be cut off, or you'll cut off the right side of the picture. Either way, the results will be worse than leaving it there.

There are filters for VirtualDub that will help blur the logo (which doesn't really hide it, it just makes it look like a sad attempt to remove the bug), but you'll never fully get rid of it.

Even if you can get rid of the station bug, if they run any lower third graphics, you're never going to be able to hide those.

Short answer, unless you can get your hands on a clean copy of the video (like a DVD release), you're just gonna have to live with it.

There are 3 filters to eliminate logos.

    DeLogo, logo away and msu_delogo

Delogo is the only that removes logos, but not perfect.

Logo away cover logos with the picture average around the logo.

MSU_delogo is buggy, slow and practicly useless. But it is very promising. It combines the positive elements of de-logo & logo away. I manage to test it and impressed with the results. Of course, 5 hours proccessing for 1 minute of video (on a AMD 2700XP+) is not something usefull!

  6. MSU_delogo just ate almost 450 MB of RAM when I tested it on a simple clip with a logo. Let's hope they get it working in a usable manner.

  7. You actually got msu_delogo to work? How? Did nothing but make things worse here. Only Delogo works on Alpha-blended logos very well for me.

  8. It IS possible to capture avi in vdub with filters on. Better have one fast machine to make it work, though.

I have not been satisfied with any of the available logo removers. Since people are used to and expect the logo, and are not used to and do not expect the blurred area resulting from a logo cover-up, I submit that the logo is actually the least objectionable alternative.

Delogo requires two passes through the video: one to create the various masks, and another to remove the logo. I don't see how this can be done during a realtime capture in vdub.

As for quality, Delogo works best on light transparent logos. On opaque logos, it is no better than the other filters. However, Delogo can save you the trouble of creating a cusotm mask for each logo, since it autogenerates the masks; you just have to mark the general area where the logo is.

  10. I was talking about LogoAway. Have never gotten DeLogo to work without crashing. Which LogoAway does only slightly less often.

Maybe I have an older version, didn't see anything about auto creating the mask, it had to be done manually. Did not indicate anything about two passes, either.

  12. Nelson37,

    Check out this link:

    http://neuron2.net/delogo132/delogomanual/delogo.htm#3.3_alpha-blended_logos

This is the ONLY filter I have tried so far that works.
