DVD Shrink ... no sound in preview

For the longest time, I've loaded stuff into DVD Shrink and, when I highlight a title and click on the preview arrow, the video AND audio started to play. Recently, though, for some strange reason, the video plays but the audio doesn't. The audio shows up on the DVDs I burn ... but not in previewing the files with DVD Shrink.

Anybody know what may have happened? BTW, this happens on MP2 and AC3 files.

Check your settings under the dvd shrink preferences. Ensure that SPDIF has not been accidently enabled.

Nope. SPDIF is not enabled. "Stereo" is chosen. And, I tried all the DirectX video renderers in the list (not that they'd help but, you never know). I'm watching the DVD right now and it's playing just fine with 384k MP2. The MPEG2 file itself plays fine in Windows Media Player and Real Player. And, DVDAuthorGUI authored direct from the MPEG2 file (it had NAV packets). DVDshrink preview seems to be the only place the audio won't play. Funny, though, it used to play just fine and then (ulp) stopped. Bugger of a problem.

AHA!!! Problem solved. Recently, I installed KLite 2.49 codec pack. And, I remembered that the last time I installed one of their codec packs, their version of Morgan Stream Switcher was incompatible with some systems. So, I uninstalled the codec pack and re-installed ... this time without the Morgan block checked. And, the sound has returned to DVD Shrink preview.
