An update on these discs - some burn beautifully, like the above scans, however, over half since then have burned horribly, and skip/pause/stutter on my cyberhome DVD player. Also, another tell-tale sign of a bad disc, is often during the skips, a subtitle will appear, and remain static until the subtitle button is pressed (or stop).

Dont be fooled by good scans on CMC media..these definately are NOT the most reliable of discs. Take my scans with a grain of salt.

I don't think CMC is great for overspeeding. Those TDK-branded 8x CMC +Rs burn beautifully at 8x (max speed) on my PX-716A and UF.

On both the NEC3540, and Pioneer 109 (pio 109 is non-hacked firmware), these discs have been hit and miss. I've been very pleased with CMC in the past before, but their quality seems to vary GREATLY from batch to batch.. The first 200-300 CMC discs I ever used, actually, I was beginning to swear by them. By the time I'd used 500ish, I figured at least they were only $7.50 per 25 at Best Buy..cheap coasters.

The TDK-branded ones seem to be consistently good based on mine and others' experiences...

I'm not knocking CMC... I very rarely give my personal oppinion on media types, just starts flame wars in my experience... Just post scans, and let people decide for themselves if they like them, or even pay any attention.. also post any experiences good or bad with the discs, etc.
