Will we see an instant speed increase? Or will the associated programs need to be updated first?

I didn't say that it would be released in two weeks. I'm still working on it (I'm working slower because there is also heavy ongoing work to prepare FFmpegX 1.0.0).

G5 optimization for ffmpeg encoding would be great. Allthough it is already really fast, it uses only about 60% of the CPU power on a G5 2GHz Dual.
Keep on the good work major. As ffmpegX is getting better and better, I´ve just completey retired my windows machine I used to do video encoding with.

You know, since I have been waiting so damn long for a fix to this problem, I have found another application that does the job I need. It is called HandBrake 0.7.0 and it works like a charm. No problems it is fast and effective.
While I liked FFMPEG, I have to be honest, I feel really let down. To be concentrating on a release 1.0 so far into the future, and have people hang with this damn problem is not very wise...
But at least there is always some other application that works for your benefit.
too bad cause I really liked ffmpeg.

Great. Glad to hear it. Hope the developer of Handbrake puts up with your crap as great as Major has.

And Major, sorry for the double posting, I had no idea which ones were active... Will not do it anymore. And I will follow your guide in writing to that email you posted. Thanks...
I still miss ffmpeg, so I will be back once I have this thing fixed.
PS. I am not blaming you major or ffmpeg at all. At this point Tiger isn't all that great, cause a lot of my apps needed a serious update before they acted like they use to... I was just in the middle of a project when this happened... Thanks for your kindness though major...

I won't even dignify your wonderful post with a response. In general, when submitting a bug or issue with a program, you might want to post what your actual problem is. Then you might want to probably phrase it better than "I've been waiting for this damn problem that's known only to me to be fixed".
Enjoy Mars colony, but try to remember the rest of the universe doesn't revolve around you. Have a good one!
