I am trying to create a VCD (or DVD) with a slide show of JPG pictures that will display the filename of each JPG image as part of the slide show image.

Does anyone know of any such software? I am interested mainly for a Windows XP based system but would be interested in a program for a Mac OS X system too.

    Thanks for any help.

ProShow Gold allows you to display all sorts of image info (including the filename) on each slide.

Dan (tdan): ProShow Gold did have an option to display the filename but it did not have enough control over the format to allow for very long filenames. I am trying to find something that allows the display of filenames that could be 100 characters or more. I want to create a slide show of family pictures that have been scanned and given filenames that include the names of all people pictured and in some cases dates and locations.

What I really want is some program that will allow me to specify to display these long filenames in a format that would wrap the text on several lines if necesssary so the entire filename is specified. Everything I have seen so far displays the filename centered on a single line and long filenames get both the beginning and ending cut off.

Moviegeek: I tried the Nero Vision Express and couldn't find anything that even allowed the creation of a slide show let alone an option allowing display of filenames. I already had Nero SmartStart installed on my computer and when I downloaded the Nero Vision Express I thought I was going to get a demo version but because I had the SmartStart program already installed, I think it installed the full Vesion Express program. That is nice but maybe I didn't get what you had suggested because of this pre-existing SmartStart program already being on my system.

The Ulead DVD Picture Show program did have a couple of options to include the Filename and a Description field but both of these display in a single line that gets the beginning and end of long text strings cut off just like the ProShow Gold program.

I appreciate your input but do you or anybody else have any other ideas of ways to get my long, long filenames displayed?

    Thanks.
