I have the verbatim1x-8x hub printables P/N 94812, and they are great. Anyone use the 16x P/N 94917 discs?

I suppose how well they will work will depend on the burner as well as the quality of the particular batch of discs you happen to get, much like any other media. Or are you referring to the print quality?

Well I was talking about the video quality. I assume they will be sort of MCC batch, since that's all that the other 200 verbatims I have bought in the past have been, which have all been excellent media. I'm just curious how the 16x media is? Not sure if because of the write speed the discs will have burn problems? I actually just bought a 25pk of 16x verbatims (non printables) today, so I guess I will see how those burn at 16x and make my decision on the printables, based on their quality.....

  4. I like them....12x on my BenQ, 16x on my LG with excellent results.

Almost through my first 50 spindle from Newegg:

Prints are nice too...like the 8x (-R's anyway).

I also have the BenQ1620. How did you try to write it @ 16x and if so, how'd it come out? I can already write at 12x on my 8x dvds. Curious about the 16x?

  6. I'm not crazy about the how "my" BenQ writes MCC004 at 16x. 12x is exceptional though. These are based on quality scans, so take that into consideration. 12x is the sweetspot.

I have yet to try the MCC004 on my 3500, but as I said, the LG loves it at 16x. Pretty much the same scan as the BenQ @ 12x.

You may have better luck with your BenQ....though I've read about others with the same MCC004 results.

yeah mine likes the 12x better as well, I have a pk of verbatim 16x non-print, and they are great at the 12x speed. Thanks for your posts
