I was wanting to narrate and save it as a wave file, so I can add it in to my video. I looked at window movie maker and it looks as though it can be done with windows movie maker. Has anyone tried it?
I am just trying to utilize my resources I have available and not have to go out and spend more money on software , besides having to buy a microphone to do it.
I am just going to read from a sheet of paper, record it, save as wave, insert into my video were as needed. Keeping it simple.

You can do the recording with Audacity, which is free. Then, edit the audio, and some limiting, and add to the video.

    Hi,

Just remember if your final destination is dvd you need to have the audio at 48khz and mp2 or ac3 audio to be compatible (ac3 preferrably).
