VOB Horror

OK so I was trying to back up my DVD for my kid to watch with his friends during his slumber party. I was unable to decrypt it with DVDecryptor or use DVD Shrink on it. So I copied the VOBs, IFOs and BUFs that had the movie over to my HDD and I created dummy versions of all the extras (other VOB, BUF and IFO files). Now how can I turn these files into a playable movie. I can watch each VOB separately but I want them to play as a video ts with the menu.

I Have the:
- VOBs of the movie and menu
- IFO and BUF of the VOBs with the movie
- Dummy IFO, BUF and VOB of the extras (each 18K in size)

What I want:
- To be able to create a backup dvd of the movie from the files I have.

What happened with DVD Decrypter? What error message did you get? Did you try updating DVD Decrypter to the latest version? What was the original film - a very new release? Have you tried another ripper (if an update to DVD Decrypter failed) such as SmartRipper?

if loading the VIDEO_TS.IFO file into a VIDEO_TS aware program*
fails (you didn't say if you know how to check this)then you must RE-RIP the entire DISC (not movie only mode)as creating "dummy" files will not work
