I transfer the DV clip from my videocam to PC via Premiere 6.5 Movie Capture. I would like to know how to selectively display the date and time of each video clip in Premiere.

    Thanks in advance.

Found this website from Google search.
    http://www.skydiver.de/stef/datecode_en.htm

This site has DV Date and DV Datecode to display the time stamp. If anyone out there has use these 2 packages, really appreciate if you can give some brief comment.

    Thanks.

    Hi pchan,

I've not used either, but given that they're doing a simple job I'd guess they'd be simple to use.

    Other tools include:

    DV Sub Maker
    DV Time Stamp
    Visual DV Time Stamp

I've seen posts where people have used these, or the ones you mentioned, and seem to have found them straightforward and effective.

    Good luck...

    Hi daamon,

I am more leaning toward the Premiere Plugin DV Date from Digital Video Engr. Will give it a try first.

    Many thanks.

No problem. Good luck with it.

Can you report your findings? I'd be interested to hear as I have Premiere 6.0. Thanks.

  6. I have been using DV Time Stamp (now Visual DV Time Stamp) for almost a year. They are worth the money.

I've used DV_Datecode in conjunction with DVDLab Pro to produce subtitles that can be turned on/off on the DVD, rather than permanently embedded in the video. Works very well.

    Hi daamon,

As promise, just got the key for DV Date from Digital Video Engr (http://dve.teletex.ru/en/dvrecdate.shtml). Here is the screen shot of Premiere with the DV Date plug-in. Perfect !

    Hi pchan,

Thanks! it looks good. Is it customisable (i.e. change font, size, position etc.)?

There's a new tool in the tool list on the left, called DVE DV Date.

  16. Exsate VideoExpress can automatically display the DV date/time stamp once a day, once an hour, every scene for a given value of seconds.
