  1. Hi All,
What the are the required settings to encode a 16:9 DV AVI file to MPEG-2 using Tmpgenc ?

I want to be able to view the finished DVD both on a standard TV as well as widescreen TV.

Recently, I've upgraded my handycam to Sony HC90 Model. This model catpures video at 16:9. I captured the video using 1394 and Windows Moviemaker (captured as DV). When using TMPGENC to encode the DV AVI file to MPEG-2, I was expecting Tmpgenc to correctly identify the source type as 16:9. Instead the tool has identified the source as 4:3 !

PS: I've been successfully creating home made DVDs using TRV-33 without a hitch.

    Any help is highly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,
    Uday

Same settings as for a "normal" MPEG-2 encode - just set the Aspect Ratio to 16:9 instead of 4:3 on both the Video and Advanced tabs in TMPGEnc's Settings.
    If in doubt, Google it.
