  1. I have been searching the forums now trying to find an answer to this for the past couple of hours, and so far zilch. So here it goes.

I have been using nero recode now for a about a year and a half and it seems with each update the software gets more and more buggy. Well the current version I am running is cause a long pause where the layer break would normally be. This pause usually last 30-45 seconds depending on the player. There are no other pauses or skips anywhere on the dvd. This of course only happens when I am backing up a DVD-9 to a DVD-5. I am using Ritek 8x DVD-R's, DVDDecrypter to rip, and a Pioneer 108 burner with the latest firmware. I was wondering if anybody else has run into this?

    Thanks
    Lucas

  2. I've been using Nero Recode but have decided to start using DVDShrink.Nero's software seems to contain a hell of a lot of bugs and I'm starting to dislike the software.
I've found that is probably best to rip as DVD Video Files with DVDDecrypter then remove unwanted parts using VobBlanker (Freeware) or DVDRemake (Trialware) and then recode if necessary using DVDShrink and output as an ISO file and burn with either Nero Burning ROM or DVDDecrypter.

Try using DVD Shrink instead of Nero Recode.
