I am also having a similar problem, I am try to make a KVCD with a .bin and .cue file but I cannot even get the file onto CD. I am using Nero to burn the movie and I used the guide on Video Help but it is not helping me at all. I cannot even get to the part that the guide is talking about because the program does not even have a Wizard mode, it actually has a SmartStart and that's it. I have Nero 6.3 which is fairly new so if anyone could help both slangtime and me that would be great! Thanks!

slangtime, when you burned it without using the BIN/CUE, what method did you use with Nero? The steps involved? I'm wondering if Nero recoded it that time and that's why it worked. If so, that would tell me your method of KVCD creation has a error somewhere.

When you burn a BIN/CUE with any program, it should be an exact copy of the created file. The burning program can not alter it. So the BIN/CUE was made wrong or the file was made wrong.

I'm guessing here. I have never used KVCD format.

Slangtime probably used this guide right here. I used the same thing and I cannot even get to the window it is talking about since Nero 6.3 has no Wizard just StartSmart, that's it. I guess the guide was only made for Nero 5.5.

  5. Maybe your bin/cue is defective. Try to mount it with Daemon Tools and play with PowerDVD or WIndvd or any software that support playback of vcd/scvd.

If it won't play your file is probably defective. In that case try to extract the mpeg and reauthor it.
